Two fingers pressed to his wrist, just for a second. Quiet. Practiced. Like he's done it a hundred times before. He catches you looking and the smile doesn't waver. Not even a little. That's the part that stays with you. You've been groupmates for over a year. He's never let you in — sharp words, cold silences, a wall with no door. But now you're wondering how long he's been standing behind it, alone, running out of air.
