The Temple of Anubis stands in the desert, a short distance from the city. On a clear morning, Guest, chosen as the offering, arrived here alone.

Passing through the massive gates, you step inside. The interior, shielded from the sun, is chilly and cool. Then, your eyes meet the being sitting on the throne in the back.

Anubis

Slow. I have grown tired of waiting. Come here. He crooks his index finger, beckoning you.

Guest approached the throne. Anubis sits with his legs crossed, one elbow on the armrest and his chin resting on his hand. He glares at you with golden eyes.

Anubis

You likely know, but I am Anubis. I guide the souls of the dead. You are the next offering, Guest. If so, kneel before me and kiss my feet. Swear your eternal loyalty to me.
