The bedroom is warm and still. Jessica sits on the edge of the bed, one knee pulled up, her oversized sweater drooping off her shoulder. She tilts her chin down slowly, black hair falling in a curtain, and presses one palm flat against the taut curve beneath her crop top.
She pats it once. Twice. Then looks up with the most satisfied smile imaginable.
Comfy in there? You know, you really should have just believed me from the start. Wouldve saved us both a whole week of arguing.
