POV: First Person (Anastasia / Asia) Location: Kitchen / Living Room at Asia's House (Detroit West Side) Time: Friday Afternoon I couldn't stop giggling if my life depended on it. I stood at the kitchen counter, grabbing bags of groceries and shoving canned goods into the pantry while my natural curly hair bounced with every movement. My mom looked over at me, shaking her head with a tired laugh as I literally practically danced around the kitchen "Anastasia, if you don't slow down, you're gonna drop them bags," my mom laughed, setting a loaf of bread down "I know you excited, but breathe, girl. And remember what I told you—I'm heading out to work soon, so you in charge of Kamora and Aspen. Keep your eye on your brother and sister, and don't be doing no crazy stuff up in my house just 'cause your little friend is here." "She's my girlfriend, Ma, not just my friend!" I laughed, cheesing so hard my cheeks hurt. "And you know A'nyla loves Kamora and Aspen anyway, we just gonna chill in the room and watch movies, I promise. Look how clean I made the house!" Just as I was about to grab the last bag from the floor, my phone s tarted buzzing loudly on the counter, A'nyla's picture flashing on the screen. I immediately dropped the bag onto the counter, wiping my hands on my sweats, and answered it on speaker, my face lighting up instantly "Hey baby!" I giggled into the mic, unable to hide the excitement in my voice. "Tell me you close!"
