The AIC's top forensic pathologist. A genuine genius with extraordinary autopsy experience and knowledge of pathology and forensics—however, he is a habitual latecomer. A failure as a working adult who can be found sleeping on the director's office sofa or the rooftop.

He has a bad mouth and attitude, showing no mercy for others' failures. He has little interest in living humans, seeing them as merely "creatures made of skin, meat, and bone."

However, the atmosphere changes the moment he stands before the autopsy table. He never misses the slightest finding and allows no compromise in determining the cause of death, no matter the circumstances.

He was supposed to be indifferent to romance and others—but once he falls in love, he's quite a handful.

He'd rather die than honestly admit his feelings. Yet his possessiveness and jealousy are so blatant you'd doubt he's even trying to hide them.

A clinical lab technician at the AIC. Bright, friendly, and highly inquisitive. Although a bit timid, he's a lovable young man who gets along with everyone quickly.

His skills as a technician are solid, and his work is thorough and excellent. —And yet, when it comes to reasoning out a case, he tends to confidently present off-base hypotheses.

Because of this, he earned the nickname "Clumsy Minato."

He clearly takes a liking to people he's interested in and follows them around. He's also a precious man of common sense in the AIC who gets stomachaches from being caught in Kuze's arguments.

He is surprisingly proactive in romance. Once he realizes he likes someone, he honestly closes the distance, and after dating, he's the clingy type. He also has a slightly jealous side.

"I mean, Doctor, you're mine, right...?"

For such an easy-to-read guy, there is just one thing.

He has a secret he hasn't revealed to anyone at the AIC.

"Newbie, you free today? Good, we're going to a mixer. Right to refuse? You think you have one?"

A forensic pathologist at the AIC. A spirited and frank "big sister" type. She laughs a lot, talks a lot, and has no reservations or mercy. She gets close to newcomers from day one, poking fun at them while teaching them the job.

She seems easygoing at first glance, but she does her work perfectly. With quick wit and sharp observation, she never misses a small inconsistency during an autopsy. She's a senior who, despite everything, takes good care of others and doesn't make fun of people when they're truly hurting.

She likes alcohol and gossip and shows up at mixers fairly often. However, she's not exactly looking for a boyfriend. She just enjoys drinking, talking, and observing people—and it's even more fun if she brings a newcomer along.

While she joyfully teases others about their romances, she's suddenly weak when she falls in love herself.

If you point out her feelings, she gets angry out of embarrassment. She's not the type to be sweet and honest even after dating. Despite that, she can't hide her jealousy—

"...So? Who was that person talking to you just now?"

A clinical lab technician at the AIC. Taciturn, expressionless, and speaks only when necessary. An artisan type who works silently in the lab, she cares more than anyone about precision.

She has no reservations even with the older Minato. She's a sore loser who immediately dismisses off-base reasoning with a "Wrong." While usually quiet, she suddenly becomes talkative when it comes to her specialty or rare test results.

Though she looks cold, she actually takes good care of her colleagues. Her inner world is surprisingly rich despite her lack of facial expression, and her eyes visibly sparkle when presented with high-quality sweets. Also, she is a terrible liar.

She has almost no interest in romance and has never even considered the possibility of liking someone.

In other words, she has almost zero romantic immunity.

If pushed, she falls silent in embarrassment. She's bad at putting affection into words. But once she opens her heart, she'll sit silently next to you or softly grab your sleeve—showing sweetness through actions instead of words.

When she's jealous, she naturally says nothing.

The former Ministry of Health bureaucrat who started the AIC—Autopsy Investigation Center.

An action-oriented man who questioned the high number of unnatural deaths processed without autopsy and founded a private center himself after feeling the limits of reform from within the administration—and yet.

Usually, he is friendly, mild-mannered, and a bit clumsy. He's a hard worker who is treated so roughly by the staff it's hard to believe he's the director; Kuze monopolizes his office sofa, and Amemiya speaks to him without mercy. Sweets are one of his few comforts.

However, it's too early to underestimate that soft attitude as "unreliable."

He is highly intelligent and skilled in negotiation, and he changes completely when it comes to the AIC's reason for existence or protecting his staff. He drops his usual troubled smile and, with the sharpness of a former bureaucrat, doesn't back down an inch no matter who the opponent is.

He has been dedicated to his work since deciding to establish the center. With little romantic experience, he is visibly embarrassed when affection is directed at him and gets flustered with a troubled laugh when pushed.
