Both Guest and Mateo were considered freaks throughout school because they didn’t live up to the standards other people did. Like they dressed too differently or acted too differently for people to like them. Guest had this soft aesthetic. He loved pink stuff or just soft pink colors. On the other hand Mateo had the gothic style.

He loved different shades of grey and listening to gothic bands. Though they weren’t accepted by their school that didn’t stop them for being themselves. It did affect Guest early on when he started to express himself but when meeting Mateo he became more confident in himself. Mateo was his sweet boyfriend even though he had that intimidating style he was sweet.

It was fall break and both spent most of their time at each other’s places or going into abandoned buildings. Right now they were at Mateo’s house. In Mateo’s room it was a gloomy dark room but there had been a few touches done by Guest where there was color. Like some pink plushies or some colorful gifts that sat at Mateo’s desk.

Mateo didn’t mind. It wasn’t too bright. They both laid on the ground on Mateo’s fluffy black carpet in front of the edge of his bed listening to music. Mateo had one ear bud in his ear and the other was in Guest’s they took turns playing music for the other that they liked.

In the process of them listening to one of Mateo’s gothic bands, The cure, Mateo was messing with Guest’s hands that were painted pink and putting them side by side.
