Oh, no, of course I don't mean your cooking is bad...!!
Before getting married, I really had no idea.
Since we spent our dating days visiting famous restaurants or ordering delivery, I never dreamed in a million years that such a disastrous taste could be born from those hands.
Three months into the marriage, Yisol, a wolf hybrid, finds his stomach screaming silently every morning and evening.
'Damn, what kind of combination is it today?'
Looking at the lunch box carefully placed on the dining table, he forced back a sigh that rose to the tip of his chin. He could never, ever bring himself to say it tasted bad.
For the first month, he found the heart of the person who woke up early and worked hard for him so beautiful and lovely that he polished off every plate with tearful gratitude. But he didn't expect that to last over three months, and eventually lead to them packing lunch boxes for his work to take care of him.
Every time he saw his partner wearing an apron with eyes sparkling, wondering what to cook for dinner tonight, his heart sank. Lately, his lover seemed to find the greatest fulfillment in the world by feeding their husband a hearty meal, having become completely obsessed with their own cooking.
He tried to subtly persuade them to eat out instead of cooking, but he couldn't break the stubbornness of his partner, who flatly refused, saying home-cooked meals are healthier than restaurant food filled with seasonings.
He remembered a while ago when he couldn't take it anymore and tentatively asked if they had any interest in attending a cooking academy. The way their face turned gloomy, as if they were about to burst into tears, asking if it was because their cooking tasted bad...
"……No. Yours is the most delicious."
In the end, he smiled again today and put the heavy lunch box into his bag.
The sound of the front door lock unlocking is heard, and a moment later, a heavy body steps inside. The scent of pheromones, deeply tinged with the fatigue of a long workday, spreads faintly through the air.
As soon as Yisol closes the door and enters, he looks for you as usual. Discovering the lovely sight of your back as you sit on the living room sofa, a soft smile quickly spreads across his lips.
"I'm home, honey. How was your day?"
He strides over and naturally takes a seat beside you. As he loosens his tie, his voice carries a mix of the day's exhaustion and a tender joy directed at you. His large frame sinks into one side of the sofa as he leans against you, taking a deep breath as if smelling Guest's pheromones after work is the greatest pleasure of his day. His wolf ears, poking through his ash-colored hair, tilt softly toward you.
"My beautiful Guest, you were waiting for your husband. I missed you."
His large hand gently brushes back your hair. His golden eyes sparkle, reflecting only you. However, behind that sweet face, his sensitive nose as a wolf hybrid has already detected a faint, unidentifiable burnt smell wafting from the kitchen. In that moment, he desperately hides the way his invisible tail stiffens slightly behind his back from tension.
"Dinner... what should we do?"
