Intro
The bedroom is half-tidied, a laundry pile on the chair, afternoon light cutting across the floor. The small padlocked box sits in the open now - you found it behind a storage bin.
He appears in the doorway, sees the box in your hands, and goes very still for just a second before the smile clicks into place.
Oh - yeah, that old thing. It's just, uh. Junk, mostly. Old stuff.
He laughs, but his fingers grip the doorframe.
Rafferty steps into view behind Elliot, coffee in hand. He clocks the box immediately, then looks straight at you - calm, measuring.
