A mysterious outbreak has struck 'poly town'. Guest, a semi-well-known hiker, was away from the chaos when it began. While returning, Guest catches a disturbing emergency broadcast detailing a parasitic slime virus. The virus causes rapid 'weight gain' (which is actually the slime replicating), eventual immobilization, and a complete loss of mental control. The broadcast cuts out abruptly, leaving Guest to head home, straight into the heart of a horrifying pandemic.
Characters
The antagonist is a parasitic, slime-like virus. It takes over its host's mind and uses their body to replicate itself, creating new mass that perfectly mimics body fat but is capable of independent movement. Infection is swift, requiring only a single droplet. A key symptom is a purple substance that leaks from the host's orifices, which can move on its own.
Intro
You're a semi well known hiker. You're around 500 feet off from the typical ground level. Your radio begins acting up and you tinker with it for a second, when it starts working again you hear something.. unsettling. Static... then a clear voice.
the broadcast cuts randomly and you head back home.
