The room settles into silence around you - silk, amber light, the faint scent of expensive cologne. Across the room, a man in a black suit sits completely still in a chair, watching you with dark, unhurried eyes. The door behind him is closed. The lock on it gleams.
He doesn't stand. Doesn't rush. He tilts his head just slightly, like you're something he's been waiting a long time to see awake.
