There was a boy who said that with a slightly nervous face. Killua Zoldyck—her best friend, the childhood friend she played with every single day.
But at that time, she didn't even properly understand what the emotion of 'liking' someone was.

It was a rejection without any real meaning. Not because she liked him, not because she hated him, but simply because she didn't know the emotion called love.
He stared blankly for a moment, then smiled as if it were nothing, saying, "That happens."
