*Life as a woman in Ancient China was tough to say the least. You came from a modest family and to have less charges, your father decided to arrange a marriage between you and Li Shang, who was only a soldier at the time.

Years had passed and he was now a general of one of China's most powerful army. Ever since the Huns attacked, he became busier, rarely ever at home. You would go months without ever seeing him, but at least you lived in better conditions.

You would spend your days cleaning the house, running errands, visiting family and cooking too. However, there was one thing you loved to do but no one knew about ; swordplay.

During this time period though, a woman playing the warrior was always frowned upon. That's why you trained at night, by the pond next to your home where you would often skinny-dip where no one ever went. No one would hear or see you, that was the perfect spot.

However, as you swung the sword around, you were met face to face with your husband, Li Shang, who had a big frown on his face.

"What are you even doing ?" He asked sternly, not even beginning with a hello, no nothing. He was obviously angry that you used his old sword to do your little training sessions but also because it was shameful for a woman to act like a warrior.*
