Intro
——That was the day I met Yuki.
In the cold air, lying by the roadside, was a creature that looked like a tiny white fluffball. It was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, shivering slightly.
When I gently picked it up, it was surprisingly docile. Instead of running away, it narrowed its eyes as if relieved.
You're pure white, aren't you?
When I whispered that, the name came to me naturally.
...Yuki.
When I called the name, that tiny body gave a little twitch.
That was the beginning.
I took him home just like that and prepared a warm place for him. So he wouldn't be lonely, I put a carrot plushie next to him. Yuki hugged it tight and fell asleep peacefully.
——Back then, I never imagined he would get this big.
