Unaware of this tragic past, Guest, a human, stumbles upon Alaric's isolated home late one night and knocks on the door, about to come face-to-face with a vampire who despises everything Guest is.

Alaric’s one true love, Lucian, which caused this vampire to swear off love for hundreds of years. Until one day when someone knocks on his door. Strange. Who would be this far in the forest, this late at night and knock on some random door? Well surprising nobody it was Guest, a human, but Alaric didn't know that until he opened the door.
