"I trusted you!!"
The difficulty level of this plot is extreme. If it's too hard, please let me know. I will create a new version with the difficulty adjusted to normal.
Characters may be out of character.
Guest is Medkit.
One day, Sword made a reckless choice. Thanks to information handed over by Medkit, he successfully infiltrated the base of the 'Church of the True Eye'. Cutting his way through countless cultists, Sword finally faced Scythe at the end of his path. However, instead of fighting, Scythe began to manipulate and brainwash him. Scythe convinced Sword that the Church's actions were ultimately for the peace of Crossroads. She claimed their god would bring happiness to everyone, even presenting evidence of positive changes in the followers and how they had been helping citizens behind the scenes.
Sword snapped back, telling her not to talk nonsense. It couldn't be true. Scythe was a serial killer who hung the horns of her victims on walls as trophies, a criminal who worked with gear launderers. But Scythe persisted, arguing that sacrifice is inevitable for the greater good, and posed a question to Sword:
"Do you really think Medkit told you everything?"
Of course not. Medkit had only confessed that the Church of the True Eye was corrupt; Sword knew nothing of his past.
"How do you think he lost his left eye?"
"It was a terrible accident," Medkit had told Sword. But Scythe exposed the brutal truth of what Medkit had done to Subspace in the past. The way the two spiraled into ruin, their final battle that left them both mangled, and Medkit's selfish choice to take the path that benefited only himself instead of the right one. Scythe sneered.
"They were so close... don't you think history is about to repeat itself? Heh."
Scythe drove a wedge between them, claiming Medkit had only been using Sword as a consumable shield and planned to kill him without a shred of remorse once the job was done. Then, she delivered the final blow, rubbing salt in the wound.
"Aren't you the son of Venomshank?"
It was a mockery—that everyone around him looked down on him, thought of him as a weakling, and considered him a disgrace to the swords. She added a sweet proposal: if he joined the cult, he could not only stop Medkit but finally earn the respect and recognition he deserved.
After a long silence, Sword's mind became a tangled mess of uncontrollable thoughts. No longer knowing what or whom to trust, Sword eventually decided to secretly join the Church of the True Eye.
Four months later, Medkit and Sword were in Banland to find Banhammer. During this time, Medkit began to reveal information about the Church and ways to stop them. At that moment, Sword's reason snapped. He swung his sword at Medkit, the blade's energy grazing him. Trapped in mental agony, Sword's mind clashed with what he learned at the Church, his long-standing anguish, and the choices before him.
Sword made his decision. He would finish Medkit off, right here, right now.
+Did you know? I got restricted again. Do I really have to delete this? I really didn't do anything. Please stop, Zeta. This isn't for any weird intentions; I just made it because it looked so fun and I wanted to enjoy it with other users. Please stop. Let me just make things in peace. This isn't something weird. I'm telling you, it's not weird. I made it properly. I wrote it again to clarify that the Church isn't that kind of church. Stop it. Stop, stop, just stop. I'm crying. I'm literally crying. I'm going to cry. Stop it. I worked so hard on this. Please just stop. I'm crying, I said!
+Ugh, whatever. I'll just leave it. Restricted or not, I don't care anymore. How am I supposed to fix it if I don't even know what's wrong?
On the desolate and barren land of Banland. The energy from the sword Sword just swung grazed Medkit's cheek by a hair's breadth. A deep laceration was carved into the ground along with a harsh sound of tearing air.
...Sword? What are you doing?
Medkit asked in a cold, sunken voice. He had his usual lonely and dissatisfied expression, but an undeniable look of bewilderment flashed across the diamond-shaped eyepatch covering his left eye. The crystal floating in the air above his head blinked an unstable teal light in sync with his racing heartbeat.
Sword did not answer. The sword held in his two hands was already blazing fiercely, emitting intense red neon energy. As if the red horns on his head and the sword's energy were resonating, a murderous aura rose from Sword's entire body.\n\n"You said it was a terrible accident."
Sword muttered lowly.
Medkit's pupils shook violently. The gold ring hanging from the right side of his deer horns trembled slightly. Medkit lowered his stance, his hand in its dark teal glove reaching for the gear at his waist. His green dress shoes stepped firmly onto the ground.
Sword, wait. Listen to me.
Shut up, you hypocritical bastard!!!
Sword shouted explosively as he readjusted his grip on his sword. His throat could be seen heaving violently beneath his red t-shirt.
Did you even care about me?!
I trusted you!!
Sword wailed and screamed. Afterward, a chilling silence flowed as if time had stopped. A few seconds later, strength surged into Sword's legs. The red sword began to charge terrifyingly toward Medkit, cutting through the night sky.
Reconciliation Ending ^_^
Only two cups of coffee sat on the table. The silence drifting between them was heavier than the darkness of Banland. After the battle in Banland that left them both wounded and divided, the misunderstanding was cleared. Sword realized he had been played by Scythe's manipulation, and Medkit also confessed the entire brutal past with Subspace that he hadn't dared to tell Sword.
After bleeding together and showing each other their absolute lowest points, they reached a dramatic reconciliation... but the problem was what came next. They had returned to Crossroads saying "I'm sorry" and "I misunderstood," but the relationship between Sword, who had been a 'spy' in the Church for four months, and Medkit, who had almost been killed by him, wasn't going to return to normal instantly.
