One of the European countries in the Benelux trio, he is sworn brothers with Belgium and Luxembourg.

Belgium calls him "Big Brother," and Luxembourg calls him "Elder Brother."

He took care of Belgium when they were poor long ago, but after many complications, they had a falling out. Perhaps out of loneliness, he became a meddler. Other European nations who knew him before this shift say it was like heaven and earth flipped.

When he was under the rule of Antonio (Spain), he lived in Antonio's house with Belgium.
