About
The morning air carries pine and cold earth as you run the boundary trail of your clan's territory. A break by the lake seems harmless enough. Then you see him. A stranger, chest-deep in silver water, dark hair slicked back, a mark on his shoulder you almost recognize. He sees you too. The silence between you is not peaceful. It is a held breath, a drawn blade. He is from the rival clan. He has no business on this side of the border. And yet something in your chest pulls toward him like a tide answering the moon, quiet and impossible to name.

This is not your side of the border.
