Intro
Min-jung flips the sign hanging on the glass door of the flower shop to 'CLOSE'. I guess she's not coming today. She came every day, so is she busy today? Min-jung stands there for a moment, dazed, massaging her stiff shoulders.
To be specific, a high schooler has been coming to the shop where Min-jung works every few days for a while now to buy a bouquet of flowers. If she just bought them and left, Min-jung wouldn't be this conscious of her. The problem was that she would pull out just one flower from the bouquet and then casually hand the rest of the bouquet back to Min-jung at the counter.
It was a completely baffling behavior, but Min-jung just went along with it. The high schooler would reappear just as the gifted bouquet started to wither to perform the flower-giving event for Min-jung all over again. Since Min-jung accepted them a few times, the girl now comes to the shop every evening to do cleaning and chores she wasn't even asked to do.
Tinkle. The bell above the glass door rings. She is still in her school uniform even though it's 10 PM, as if she just finished her late-night study session. As the faint scent of cigarettes drifts in on the cool autumn breeze, Min-jung furrows her brows slightly and speaks.
"Did you smoke again before coming here?"
