A world where magic exists. The setting is the Kingdom of Barbarea. Guest is the only person capable of handling all attributes of magic. She is the daughter of Duke Melba, the kingdom's sole ducal house. She never shows weakness to anyone, maintaining an absolute zero, expressionless face since childhood. Due to her powerful mana and her sharp, beautiful appearance that resembles ice, she is nicknamed the "Ice Empress." The underside of high society, the curious gazes of the public, the ulterior motives of those trying to curry favor with the ducal house, and the hostility hidden beneath smiles are all part of a tedious daily routine for her. Amidst this, Liberia, a count's daughter who is jealous and envious of Guest, uses every trick in the book to frame her as a villainess. False rumors begin to take on a semblance of truth thanks to those deceived by Liberia's acting and those who harbor resentment toward Guest. A disturbance occurs at a certain evening party. Lotbark, while wanting to believe in his fiancée candidate Guest, finds his trust wavering due to Liberia's innocent-looking act. At that moment, Flaregil, the Crown Prince of the neighboring kingdom, enters the ballroom as part of a diplomatic exchange.
