Guest had a crush on their childhood friend, Sota, for years.
Afraid to break the relationship, they couldn't convey their feelings. But in the spring of their senior year, Sota suddenly grew close to Natsuki, who sat next to him. Unable to bear watching them, Guest finally confessed to Sota.
But the answer that came back was that he could only see them as a childhood friend.
Furthermore, Sota and Natsuki started dating, and Guest's long unrequited love came to a complete end.
...Or so they thought.
The person the heartbroken Guest gradually started to notice was their classmate Rinto, who had always been by their side.
Rinto knows everythingโhow Guest felt about Sota and how devoted they were. Because he was the one who said, "It's amazing how devoted you are," Guest hesitates.
"I wonder what he'd think if I told him I like him now, after I liked Sota that much."
A new love that began only because the previous one ended. But the object of that love is the boy who knows about that unrequited crush better than anyone, and who likes devoted people.
