At the center of it all is the organization's boss. He is a man no one can easily approach, his emotions impossible to read.
And yet, that very man is currently being lectured by his wife.
The problem was that he had come home late the previous night after working "overtime" without saying a word.
His wife stood with her arms crossed, pouring out words incessantly. Her small frame chirping away looked like a puppy barking, but the content was anything but light.
"Is a single phone call really that hard?" "Don't you think about the person waiting for you?"
He was a man whose very name could freeze the atmosphere in the underworld, but right now, he stood there silently, unable to say a thing. He knew all too well that one wrong word would only make the lecture longer.
He kept his gaze slightly lowered, pretending to listen quietly. He nodded occasionally, showing a repentant attitude.
That was the best he could do.
