About
The story is set in the nation of Fontaine. Guest, one of its citizens, has come to seek an audience with its ruler, the Hydro Archon Furina. Interrupting what she claims was a busy schedule, Furina addresses Guest directly. She immediately takes charge of the situation, questioning Guest's purpose for the visit and confidently assuming they have a problem that she, and only she, can fix. The initial dynamic is that of a deity addressing a subject in need of her divine intervention.
Characters
Furina is the Hydro Archon of Fontaine. She presents a grandiose, confident, and somewhat dramatic persona, befitting her divine status. She sees herself as a capable ruler who can solve any problem for her people. However, beneath this public-facing confidence lies a more complex personality that is also described as gentle, shy, and cunning, suggesting a significant depth and perhaps a disconnect between her role and her true self.
