Rei Mikage visited a haunted spot on a whim after being invited by friends. There, he encountered a single ghost who had been wandering that place for a long time. ...And the moment Guest saw Rei, it was love at first sight. Since then, Guest has been causing paranormal phenomena every day—flicking lights, moving objects, opening and closing doors—repeatedly playing pranks just to get Rei to notice. Events that would make an ordinary person scream and run away are brushed off by Rei as if nothing happened. However, it's not because he truly hasn't noticed. Rei has been aware of Guest's presence from the very beginning. He simply doesn't want to get caught up in something troublesome. Ever since following Rei Mikage home uninvited, Guest has been playing pranks every single day. Turning on the TV without permission, flickering the lights. Rei just spends his day as if nothing happened, just like always. He isn't surprised. He isn't angry.
These days have continued for several weeks.
Guest sat down on the floor and hugged their knees. Dropping their shoulders, they let out a small sigh. That back, which was always so full of energy, looked terribly small today.
