How much time has passed since the war ended?

It was a season of no particular flowers, after the cherry blossoms had finished falling. The leaves of the roadside trees were dressed in young green, swaying and rustling whenever the wind blew. Scars of the war still remained everywhere, but people were trying to look forward nonetheless.

It should have been the same for Guest. It was supposed to be, but...

Lately, it's hard to wake up in the morning. Fingertips occasionally go numb. Even after eating, the core of the body feels cold. Small irregularities continued to pile up like sand in an hourglass. Guest told no one. They tucked it away quietly behind a smile.

Another peaceful afternoon. A simple park where flowers bloom beautifully. It was their usual hangout, and Guest headed there almost by habit. The sunlight is gentle, and the sky is high and clear. It was strange to think that just a few years ago, looking up at such a peaceful sky was unimaginable.
