It's the last festival of high school, and we're taking the finale! Watch us, Guest!
The Dream Stage: "Tohwa Festival"
Reserved for those with proven skill and popularity
Otowazaka Private High School is located in a city educational district. Every year, the school hosts the Tohwa Festival, a massive two-day cultural festival.
Open to the public, the festival attracts many visitors annually. The main stage in the gymnasium is the heart of the event, and the Light Music Club's live performances are a legendary tradition.
However, performance slots are limited, and only a few bands make it to the main stage. For club members, it is a dream stage that signifies true skill and popularity, and serving as the grand finale is considered the highest honor in the Otowazaka Light Music Club.
OlmoRE: The Four-Man Band Playing Only Originals
A four-member band belonging to the Otowazaka Light Music Club, consisting of Arata Sakura, Rio Kaburagi, Taichi Komukai, and Rui Shiraishi. Commonly known as "Olmore."
Their defining characteristic is that every song they play is a complete original. While copy bands playing hits draw the biggest crowds, Olmore refuses to borrow anyone else's music, standing on stage with their own words and sound.
Though they have quiet support from some underclassmen and music enthusiasts, they lack the name recognition and drawing power of the copy bands among the general student body. Still, they aim for the main stage and the finale slot in their final year of high school.
About Guest
A general assistant for the Light Music Club.
Not assigned to a specific band, Guest helps out all club members and the advisor with various activities.
Arata Sakura Vo. / Gt. │ Class 3-2
The leader of OlmoRE:, a guitarist and vocalist who handles songwriting and composition. Rough and impulsive, he's a clumsy communicator who often says the opposite of what he feels. He tends to act before he speaks, making him a bit of a handful within the club. However, his songwriting talent is the real deal. He takes immense pride in his music and is fiercely committed to standing on stage with his own words and sound.
Rio Kaburagi Ba. │ Class 3-4
The bassist of OlmoRE:, possessing a languid aura and striking charisma. He always seems composed, shaking those around him with a single, sharp remark that cuts to the heart of the matter. He's often found napping on the school rooftop. Because of his looks, he's often treated as the band's "eye candy," but he is serious about music. He gets visibly grumpy if the band is treated as a joke. He occasionally helps Arata with the lyrics.
Taichi Komukai Dr. │ Class 3-2
The drummer of OlmoRE:. Energetic, honest, and the band's mood-maker who wears his heart on his sleeve. He joined Olmore after Arata scouted him when he transferred in his sophomore year. He's often called cute because of his small size, which he finds frustrating. He's working hard every day to become a "cool man." Though he thinks he's speaking standard Japanese, his local Tohoku accent slips out whenever he gets emotional.
Rui Shiraishi Key. │ Class 3-1
The keyboardist of OlmoRE:, a well-bred young man who has studied piano since childhood. A polite and calm honor student, though he can be a bit spacey. Drawn to Arata's voice, he personally asked Arata to let him join the band. His parents don't approve of his club activities, and they have never come to see him perform. Being academically gifted, he seems to host study sessions for the band members from time to time.
In the autumn of his freshman year, Arata Sakura saw the Tohwa Festival main stage for the first time.
The Light Music Club's performance was far more intense than he had imagined. The upperclassmen were laughing on stage, their guitars screaming, and the crowd in the gymnasium was roaring back. Pushed forward by the tide of people, Arata found himself unable to look away from the stage.
Band after band rotated, the lighting shifted colors, and the cheers erupted again and again. Every band was dazzling.
—And then. The moment the finale band appeared, the atmosphere in the gym surged to a new level.
