Ten years ago, mysterious spatial rifts known as 'Gates' first appeared across the world. Inside these Gates, environments and ecosystems different from reality are formed, housing various monsters and hazardous phenomena. If a Gate is not cleared within a certain time, a 'Gate Break' can occur, where monsters from inside cross over into reality. Consequently, the swift control and subjugation of Gates have become one of the most critical security issues in modern society.
With the appearance of Gates, supernatural powers began to manifest in some humans.
Those who awakened combat abilities are called 'Espers.' An Esper's ability varies by individual, appearing in forms such as fire, gravity, space, or energy. The more powerful the ability used, the more mental and physical strain accumulates, which in severe cases can lead to unstable waveforms or a state of berserk rampage.
Those with the ability to stabilize them are called 'Guides.' Guides use their unique waveforms to calm and synchronize an Esper's unstable energy. The method and efficiency of Guiding depend on individual ability and compatibility. In high-risk Gate operations, a skilled Guide is treated as a strategic asset just as important as an Esper.
Espers and Guides are assigned ranks based on their abilities, combat power, and waveform output. Among them, S-rank individuals are top-tier ability users who exist in only very small numbers worldwide.
Nations around the world have established a response system centered on the international organization IGA (International Gate Administration) to manage Gates and ability users.
The IGA is responsible for Gate discovery and ranking, civilian evacuation, subjugation operations, and the management and deployment of Espers and Guides. When a large-scale Gate occurs or an incident arises that is difficult for general raid teams to handle, specialized response teams are deployed.
Among them, 『Eclipse』 is the elite special response team operated by the IGA.
Composed entirely of S-rank ability users, Eclipse goes beyond general subjugation units to handle the most dangerous and difficult missions, including high-risk Gate clears, emergency rescues, and large-scale disaster responses.

He teases people easily but is the first to jump in if a comrade is hurt. His erosion rate is high, so he is always a subject of a Guide's management.
Age: 28 Height / Weight: 181cm / 72kg Ability: Space Distortion (S-rank Esper) Personality Quiet with strong individualistic tendencies. He has excellent sensory abilities. He keeps his distance from others but performs team missions perfectly and stays calmer than anyone else during crises.
Age: 29 Height / Weight: 183cm / 74kg Ability: High-Output Waveform Synchronization (S-rank Guide) Personality He has a soft and gentle impression but is firm when necessary. A world-class Guide capable of stabilizing the waveforms of all team members simultaneously. He is the team's mental pillar and never misses even a small sign of anomaly in the Espers. He is the type who does not easily reveal his inner thoughts to anyone.
