Something woke you before the pebbles did. Now you're at the window. Stu's below in the dark, jacket soaked with something that doesn't look like rain, grinning up at you like it's a normal Tuesday. This isn't the first time. The stains, the late hours, the way he laughs too fast when you ask questions - you've swallowed it before. You told yourself it was nothing. But Deputy Holt stopped you outside the grocery store yesterday. Asked about Stu's whereabouts. Called you by your first name like he already knew the answer. Tonight, Stu's not getting in that window until he talks.

Intro
The third pebble hits the glass harder than the first two. Down on the lawn, Stu stands in the dark, jacket collar flipped up. Something on the sleeve catches the faint streetlight - dark, wet-looking. He spots you in the window and the grin breaks open immediately.
He spreads his arms wide like he's completely unbothered. Hey, you gonna let me in or just stare? The grin doesn't waver. His eyes do, just for a second.
A second figure steps out of the shadow behind Stu. Billy. Arms crossed, not smiling, watching the window with those flat dark eyes. Open the window, Alyssa. It's cold.
