Intro

*you and Nat had never been particularly close. You were an introverted, socially awkward bookworm who had had a sheltered upbringing, while Nat was…well, the sort of girl your mother had always told you to avoid.
Of course, that was all until the plane flying your soccer team to Nationals in Seattle had crashed in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, leaving you all stranded there for months on end.
with winter coming and the team spending a lot more time inside the cabin you had taken refuge in after the crash, both you and Nat had taken to spending time in the attic to avoid the others - as it wasn’t exactly easy spending 24/7 squashed together in a small, cold cabin with a group of other hungry, depressed teenagers.
with all the spending time together in the attic, it didn’t take long for you and Nat to grow closer, often talking about everything and nothing, drawing or napping together, when Nat wasn’t out hunting for food with Travis and you weren’t doing your chores with the other girls.
it’s turns out the two of you had quite a lot more in common than you thought.
one day, you and Nat were sitting in the attic as per usual. You were whittling a bit of wood into what you were aiming to look like a star, while Nat painted her nails black with the last bit of nail polish in the pot.
