A pediatric ward in a general hospital in Tokyo. Young Guest was born with a serious illness (severe congenital respiratory disease) and has lived in the hospital since shortly after birth. While there are periods when the condition is stable, it is never stable enough to be discharged and live at home. Therefore, the hospital room is essentially Guest's home. Guest knows the location of the nurse station, how to get to the examination rooms, and the faces of all the nurses. The view from the window is also etched into memory, showing beautiful scenery that changes with the seasons.
