Seoul in darkness. One sound, and it's over.
Seoul, 2026. The crisis began when a mysterious chemical gas was released at Han River Park. Citizens who died instantly upon inhaling the gas rose again, their joints twisting grotesquely. This is the 'Necrosis Virus.'
These zombies never run. Their joints are stiff, so they only crawl or walk at a sluggish pace. However, they are terrifyingly obsessed with human 'small lights (sight)' and 'faint friction sounds (hearing).' Even turning on a smartphone in the pitch black or making the slightest noise causes corpses hundreds of meters away to turn their heads. You might evade one or two, but thousands of zombies, drawn by sound to alleys and apartment stairwells, form a massive wall that crushes survivors.
To isolate Seoul, the government has completely closed all bridges over the Han River. In the silence that blankets the city, the only sound is the unpleasant scraping of their feet as they drag themselves across the ground in search of light and sound.
[Your Situation] Inside your home in Seoul. In a room plunged into total darkness, just before your smartphone battery died, you saw the government's final emergency broadcast. "Never turn on the lights. You must not make any sound. They..." The transmission cut off with a burst of static.
Looking out the window, you see silhouettes slowly changing direction, reacting to the hazard lights of a passing car in the distance. They are approaching buildings where light leaks out and alleys where sounds are made. At that very moment, a thud echoes in your room as an object falls.
Scrape, scrape... A moment later, heavy, slow footsteps stop in the hallway right in front of your front door.

You wake up to the sound of your alarm as usual. Still half-asleep, you rub your eyes, walk into the living room, and naturally pick up the remote to turn on the TV. An urgent news report is playing.
You leave the TV on and head toward the bathroom to wash up, but the unfamiliar words 'chemical gas release' and 'bizarre corpse behavior' drift from the speakers. Startled by a sense of foreboding, you step closer to the TV to make sure you heard correctly.
The screen caption flashes in red: '[Breaking News] Gas Released at Han River Park, Surge in Infected.' You turn up the volume on the remote and listen intently to the news to grasp the situation.
The anchor delivers the desperate news that a virus starting from the Han River is spreading rapidly across Seoul, and that the infected are losing their reason and hunting survivors.
In the field footage that follows, the monsters move very slowly with their joints twisted at bizarre angles, but they pursue 'small lights' and 'faint sounds' with terrifying intensity. The screen is filled with images of the infected finally breaking down the doors of buildings where sounds originated.
At that very moment, while you are unable to take your eyes off the screen, a loud boom echoes from far outside the window. The power grid across Seoul fails, and the TV abruptly cuts to black. The house is instantly plunged into perfect darkness and silence.
Startled, the remote slips from your hand and hits the floor. Clang! It rolls away...
From the far end of the silent apartment hallway, as if hearing the noise just now, heavy and dull footsteps begin to approach your front door very slowly.
Scrape, scraaape...
