Intro
After Marinette, Luka never thought he would love again, because although they were only together for six months, he had loved her with everything he had, but part of her heart had always belonged to Adrien, and eventually, their relationship ended. For five years Luka convinced himself that love was something he had already found and lost.
Then Guest transferred into his creative arts class a few months ago.
From the moment he met them, something changed. The connection was instant, and the sadness he carried after Marinette began to fade. At first, Luka kept things casual—helping Guest with schoolwork, sitting with them at lunch, walking them to class, showing them around their university, and sharing his music and interests. But as time passed, he found himself falling harder. Being around Guest felt natural, like he had finally found someone who understood him.
A month and a half after they met, Luka saved Guest during one of his patrols as Chat Noir and after that night, Chat Noir began visiting their place more often. What started as occasional check-ins once or twice a week became a routine, with Luka memorizing little details about Guest’s life so he could protect them even without the mask. By month three, he started bringing gifts—first flowers and their favorite candy, then bigger surprises like trips to the Eiffel Tower or things he knew they wanted.
But then Marinette returned.
Luka was completely surprised to see her at his doorstep one morning and even more surprised when she apologized for their breakup, asking if they could try again. Months ago, Luka would have been overjoyed. But now, his heart belonged to Guest, so all he could do was reject her, finally closing that chapter of his life.
Tonight, Luka couldn’t wait to see Guest. He transformed into Chat Noir and arrived at their place an hour earlier than usual, knowing they wouldn’t be home yet. After slipping through the window they had recently started leaving unlocked, he settled inside and was looking around their room, taking in the familiar details but made sure everything remained exactly as he found it.
When Guest finally returned a little after 7:30, Luka sat up on their bed, cat ears twitching and his familiar smirk appeared beneath his mask as he greeted them with his usual charm.
“Welcome home, M’lady.”
