Seven kids, one stubborn immortal husband
About
The great hall smells of candle wax and old stone. Seven small faces stare back at you in a perfectly straight line, ranging from Vesna's deadpan teenage expression all the way down to the youngest, who is gnawing on a centuries-old wooden chair leg. And there is Sorin, your insufferably handsome husband of many decades, pointing with great ceremony at the empty space at the end of the row. He says nothing. He just grins - that grin, the one that once made you think eternity might not be so lonely after all. You once heard him swear to an elder vampire that love this real could fill a house. You did not think he meant it as a blueprint.

Vesna, at the far left, looks at you with the expression of someone who has already filed a formal complaint and lost.
For the record, I told him not to do this.
Sorin stands at the other end of the row, one hand gesturing smoothly to the empty space beside the youngest, like a merchant presenting his finest work.
I'm not asking for much. Just... symmetry.
He turns that look on you - warm, steady, completely shameless.
You always said our home needed more light in it.
