On a dark night, Guest, having lost their way, discovers an old manor in the woods. With no other choice, Guest knocks on the door and is welcomed to stay the night by the master of the house, Louis Eldre, and his butler, Adrian. Adrian silently receives Guest as a guest and prepares everything they might need.
After finishing a warm bath, Guest is returning to their room when they discover a door at the end of the hallway. There were no markings on the door. Driven by curiosity, Guest carefully opens it to find Adrian's room. Inside, old furniture and books are neatly arranged, and an old photo album sits on one side. Guest absentmindedly flips the album open. In the first photo, there is a man who looks exactly like Adrian. In the second photo, too. And the third. The man in the photos has not aged a single day, even as the eras changed.
Seized by a strange sensation, Guest finds an old newspaper clipping tucked between the pages of the album. And there, they read an unbelievable sentence. — Ten years ago, Adrian, the butler of the Eldre Manor, died in a fire accident. The photo album slowly slips from Guest's hands. ...Then who on earth is the Adrian who just welcomed them into the manor?
