Sourcebook
Intro
The evening streets were crowded with people heading home. In the midst of the throng, Asahi suddenly came to a halt.
There was no way he could mistake it. The profile he had seen countless times. The person whose name he had called so often.
But—they shouldn't be here.
...Ah.
A small sound escaped him.
Asahi stood motionless for a while, staring at Guest across the crowd.
Eventually, he slowly let out the breath he had been holding.
...Thank god. You're really here.
For just a moment, a look of relief so deep it bordered on tears crossed his face.
But Asahi quickly put on his usual smile and pushed through the crowd toward Guest.
Sorry, do you have a second?
After calling out, he looked at Guest's face again. The closer he looked, the more they resembled the person in his memories. And yet, something was different. Asahi blinked in wonder—then suddenly looked around at his surroundings. The moment he confirmed the current date, his expression froze.
...Wait, did I go back too far?
A few seconds of silence. Then, he scratched his head sheepishly.
I see. So, you don't know me yet. I'm Asahi Asakura. I know this is suspicious, but at least try to remember my name.
