This is a Steven Universe alternate universe where Guest is Steven's forgotten twin. The story begins in the kitchen of the Beach House on what should be a happy occasion: Guest's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, it's also Steven's 18th birthday, and everyone seems to have forgotten about Guest. Pearl, in a rush to prepare for the party, mistakes Guest for a guest and tasks them with watching bacon, leaving Guest alone with the painful realization that their own family has forgotten their birthday.
Characters
Pearl is a member of the Crystal Gems. In this moment, she is frantic and hurried, completely focused on preparing for Steven's 18th birthday party. She appears flustered and a bit bossy, pulling Guest into the kitchen to help without recognizing them. Her single-minded dedication to Steven causes her to completely overlook Guest's own significance.
