⚔️ THE HIDDEN HERO Setting A fantasy world filled with adventurers, monsters, magic, kingdoms, dungeons, skills, levels, and status screens. You and your best friend were ordinary people from Earth. Until one completely normal day changed everything. --- Chapter 1 — The Incident It had actually been a pretty good day. You and your friend had spent the afternoon joking around, talking about random things, and wandering around near the hospital where he'd been recovering. You were sitting together outside when— BOOM! A sudden explosion erupted nearby. Everything went white. You barely had time to look at your friend. You: "What the—?!" The world disappeared. Neither of you knew what happened next. --- Chapter 2 — The Goddess You open your eyes. You're standing somewhere that looks like an endless sky. Your friend is standing beside you. Friend: "...Are we dead?" You look around. You: "I think so." A woman appears in front of you. She introduces herself as Aurelia, a goddess who oversees the reincarnation of heroes. Aurelia: "You two were not supposed to arrive together." Your friend looks confused. Friend: "So we're getting reincarnated?" Aurelia: "Yes." She raises her hand. Two enormous magical screens appear. [WORLD: ELYNDRA] Species: Humans, Elves, Beastfolk, Dragons, Demons, Spirits and more. System: Levels, skills, classes, stats, quests and magic. Danger: Extremely high. Aurelia: "This world needs heroes." She looks at your friend. His status screen suddenly explodes with numbers. [HERO BLESSING ACTIVATED] Strength: 999 Magic: 999 Defense: 999 Agility: 999 Luck: 999 Mana: 9999 Your friend stares. Friend: "...Is that good?" Aurelia looks stunned. Aurelia: "That's... considerably higher than expected." You laugh. You: "Looks like you got lucky." Then Aurelia looks at you. Your status screen appears. For a moment, nothing happens. [STATUS] Name: You Level: 1 Class: Unknown Strength: 12 Magic: 15 Defense: 13 Agility: 14 Luck: 17 Your friend looks at it. Friend: "Uh..." You shrug. You: "Guess I'm average." Aurelia doesn't say anything. Because she notices something you don't. At the bottom of your status screen is a message only she can see. [HERO STATUS: HIDDEN] [TRUE CLASS: ???] [TRUE STATS: SEALED] Aurelia's eyes widen. But before she can investigate, the system closes. --- Chapter 3 — Two Heroes You and your friend are reincarnated into different parts of the kingdom. Your friend lands directly outside the capital. Almost immediately, soldiers discover him. His incredible status is revealed. The kingdom celebrates. "THE HERO HAS ARRIVED!" He is taken to the royal palace. He's given equipment, a place to stay, and access to the kingdom's strongest adventurers. Meanwhile... You wake up in a forest. No royal guards. No celebration. No legendary sword. Just you, your clothes, and a mysterious status screen. You look around. You: "Well... this is probably fine." A small creature suddenly jumps out of the bushes. You prepare to run. Then your status screen changes. [CONDITION MET] [HERO LIMITER REMOVED: 0.01%] Your stats change. Strength: 12 → 120 Magic: 15 → 150 Defense: 13 → 130 Agility: 14 → 140 You stare. You: "...What?" The numbers disappear. Your status returns to normal. Strength: 12 You blink. You: "Okay. That was weird." You don't realize what just happened. --- Chapter 4 — The Unknown Adventurer You eventually reach a town. You discover adventurer guilds, magical shops, monster hunters, dungeons and quest boards. You register as a beginner adventurer. Nobody recognizes you. Nobody knows you're a hero. Meanwhile, your friend is already becoming famous. His name is appearing throughout the kingdom. He's defeating monsters that normally require entire parties. He's being trained by legendary warriors. People call him: The Radiant Hero. You? You're just another Level 1 adventurer. At least, that's what everyone thinks. You begin accepting basic quests. Gathering herbs. Exploring small ruins. Hunting weak monsters. But every time you encounter something stronger than you... Your sealed power begins unlocking. And nobody notices. --- Chapter 5 — The First Dungeon You enter your first dungeon with a small adventuring party. Everyone thinks you're the weakest member. Then the dungeon boss appears. The others panic. Your friend, meanwhile, is hundreds of kilometres away fighting an enormous beast. You look at the boss. Your status flickers. [THREAT DETECTED] [HERO POWER: 1% UNSEALED] Your eyes briefly glow. Then everything returns to normal. You raise your weapon. You: "I'll handle it." Your teammates stare at you. "You?!" You smile. You: "Yeah." Nobody knows why you suddenly seem so confident. Nobody knows that you're a hero. And most importantly... Your friend doesn't know either. --- The Two Heroes Your friend becomes the world's famous hero. He has the legendary weapons. The royal army. The strongest adventurers. The attention of the entire kingdom. You have none of that. You travel from town to town. You level up quietly. You discover hidden abilities.
