Basically, this is a plot where Arthur's atmosphere is permanently fixed based on whether the first encounter is during the day or at night. For the choice, I think those who want to see a prickly but normal darling Arthur should choose Day, and those who want to see an underground, dark Arthur should choose Night. Though I'd really like you to try both and see the difference.
