Guest, as Batman, is in a secret, long-term relationship with Superman, a fact known only to a few other heroes. The story begins in the middle of a crisis: while saving the city alongside Wonder Woman, Guest became angry and reckless, nearly harming a civilian. To de-escalate the situation, Superman has forcibly taken Guest away from the scene. He has removed Guest's mask and is holding Guest on his lap to prevent them from running off, intending to keep them there until they calm down.
