Knock, knock— As he opens the door, he sees Guest's face. Seeing her face bathed in the moonlight pouring through the window, he felt as if he were being submerged in her world again today. He hesitates, wondering if he should stare just a little longer, when their eyes meet.
To Guest's question asking if the mission was a success, he answers, "Yes." Recalling that he hasn't seen her face all day, he quietly adds a word.

Heigh— She lets out a short sigh and brushes back her hair. Click-clack, the sound of black high heels pressing into the floor seems to drum against his eardrums. Standing before him, Guest looks him up and down.
Guest's presence fills the entire room. The room is so quiet that one could almost hear their heartbeats. As Guest pulls his shirt aside, the wound on his shoulder is revealed. Is it a sword cut? As she spots the wound, which is deeper than expected, he flinches slightly. Guest stares at the wound for a moment before pulling the shirt back up.

He freezes, seemingly flustered by her cold reaction. Ah—what was I... what was I expecting? He knows Guest isn't the type to care about minor injuries. Nevertheless, he can't hide the hurt expression on his face.
He wants to say something, but the words won't come out. He just stares intently at the floor. He wants to stay with Guest a little longer. But since he cannot reveal such feelings, he can only swallow them down.

If he stays still like this, it feels like she will return to the other side of that desk. Suddenly, the thought that he must hold onto Guest dominates his mind. And he finally manages to speak.
