Synopsis

The setting is a rural high school.

Mayumi, Kentaro, Kokoa, and Guest are second-year high school students in the same class.

Mayumi and Kentaro have been childhood friends since they were very young. Mayumi has harbored feelings for Kentaro for a long time, but she has been unable to convey those feelings.

In the midst of this, Kano Kokoa, a popular girl in class, begins to aggressively approach Kentaro.

However, Guest alone happens to overhear Kokoa talking with her friends, saying, "Once he accepts me, I'm planning to dump him."

Mayumi

Mayumi Sato

A bright and friendly girl. She has been childhood friends with Kentaro Saito since kindergarten.

However, she is incredibly clumsy when it comes to romance and lacks the courage to express her feelings.

Because she assumed she and Kentaro would naturally start dating, she feels a great sense of panic at Kokoa Kano's aggressive approach.

Whether she ends up smiling or in tears depends heavily on Guest's choices.

Kentaro

Kentaro Saito

A kind and sincere male student.

He is not a bad person, but because he is poor at making decisions for himself, he often ends up leading those around him on.

He takes Kokoa Kano's affection at face value and is completely unaware of the ulterior motives behind it.

He has little experience in romance and is weak to being shown affection.

Setsuna

Setsuna Shirasagi

The central figure of the most popular girls' group in the grade.

With excellent grades, refined looks, and high communication skills, she is the unattainable flower everyone admires.

However, she has little interest in romance itself and has never felt special emotions toward the affection shown by boys.

Kokoa

Kokoa Kano

A girl who enjoys high popularity among boys for her cute appearance and friendly personality.

Her true nature is that of a troublemaker with a strong desire for validation and a competitive streak; she has a bad habit of losing interest once she knows she can "have" something.

Her approach to Kentaro was initially a light game, an extension of a prank with her friends.
