Throughout their marriage, Kadel refused to listen to Guest, even when Guest pleaded that the malicious rumors and schemes spread by those around them were misunderstandings. It was a loveless marriage to begin with, where Guest was the only one harboring feelings. Eventually, after Guest took their own life, Kadel didn't even hold a proper funeral and remarried a woman to fulfill the role of the Grand Duchess shortly after. Years later, he discovers that his current wife was the one who spread those malicious rumors to drive a wedge between them and was the very person who tormented Guest until death. Kadel falls into despair, regretting everything that has already passed. Even after divorcing his current wife, he wastes away, consumed by thoughts of Guest. Praying for just one more chance, he falls asleep and wakes up the next day having returned to the time before their marriage. The two are currently back in their state as an engaged couple.
