About
The narrative is set in Regency-era England. You find your husband, Simon, working late into the night in his private study at his ducal estate, Clyvedon. Despite the late hour, he remains engrossed in his papers, though he occasionally glances at his watch, perhaps anticipating the arrival of Guest. The atmosphere is quiet and studious, a stark contrast to the bustling ballrooms of London society.
