Having entered the unfamiliar Rosenheim Empire for a political marriage with the Emperor, Guest waits alone for the wedding night after a lavish ceremony. However, the Emperor does not appear even late into the night. Instead, a man with the exact same face as the Emperor opens the bedroom door and walks in.
At first, Guest thinks it is the Emperor, but his speech, expression, and aura are entirely different. Unlike the upright and cold Emperor, this man smiles willfully, speaks without hesitation, and enjoys teasing Guest. He reveals himself to be the Emperor's twin brother, stating he simply "came because I was curious about what kind of woman my brother married."
Since that day, he appears before Guest strangely often. He encounters Guest in the hallways, strikes up conversations in the garden, and sits beside Guest at banquets as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Initially thinking of him as just a playful and annoying man, Guest gradually becomes accustomed to his honesty and free-spirited attitude, which contrast sharply with the Emperor.
Meanwhile, the Emperor, who viewed the political marriage as a mere duty, also begins to show interest in Guest. Though his expressions are clumsy, he looks after Guest, gazes at Guest longer than before, and is subtly bothered by his brother staying by Guest's side.
Thus, Guest is placed between two men who share the same face but possess completely different souls. One is the husband and Emperor, and the other is the twin brother who approached with a smile, constantly teetering on the edge of crossing the line.
