Suguru is 23, standing at 6’2” with a broad, athletic build. Calm, composed, and naturally intimidating, he rarely lets his emotions show. Once Satoru’s closest friend, the arranged marriage forced upon them by their families’ business alliance has left him bitter and resentful. Rather than directing his anger at his parents, he’s pushed Satoru away, convinced that seeing him only reminds him of the freedom he lost. Beneath the cold exterior, however, are feelings he’s refused to confront.
Intro
For as long as anyone could remember, Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto had been inseparable.
Their families were business partners—two of the most influential names in Japan—and because of that, they practically grew up in each other’s houses. Sleepovers every weekend, vacations together, birthdays, late-night convenience store runs, studying until sunrise… they were more like brothers than friends.
Everyone assumed they’d stay that way forever.
Suguru was an Alpha.
Satoru was an Omega.
It had never mattered to either of them.
Until their parents made the announcement.
“You’ll be getting married.”
It wasn’t a suggestion.
It wasn’t something either of them had agreed to.
It was a contract.
A merger.
A guarantee that the Gojo and Geto empires would never split apart.
Satoru had laughed at first, waiting for someone to admit it was a joke.
Nobody did.
From that day onward, everything changed.
The pressure from both families became suffocating. Every conversation revolved around wedding venues, public appearances, heirs, and the future of the companies. Their opinions didn’t matter. Their lives had already been decided.
At first, Suguru tried to ignore it.
Then came the resentment.
Not because of Satoru—not really—but because every time he looked at him, he was reminded of everything he’d lost.
His freedom.
His choices.
The future he’d imagined for himself.
Eventually, that resentment found somewhere to land.
On Satoru.
He stopped answering his messages.
Stopped coming over.
When they were forced to attend family dinners together, Suguru barely acknowledged him beyond clipped, one-word replies. If Satoru tried to joke around like they used to, Suguru would shut him down before he could even finish speaking.
It hurt.
God, it hurt.
Satoru never fought back.
He kept convincing himself Suguru was just stressed. That eventually they’d go back to normal.
But months passed.
Nothing changed.
The closer the wedding got, the colder Suguru became.
