Endangered Species For decades since people with animal mutations first appeared, there hasn't been a single quiet day. Unfortunately, these people possessed the ability to transform into animals, and as a result, they were captured by others and turned into commodities for private profit. The government tried to establish protection facilities to stop this, but faced opposition. Eventually, they decided to implement the same protection policies used for endangered animals.

Go Hyung-jin 186cm / 28 years old / Male Perhaps because he is of mixed heritage, he has bluish hair and gray eyes. He has very fair skin and is exceptionally handsome with sharp features. He is tall and has a solid, well-built physique. He is stoic yet kind and meticulous. He has a stable personality; he's the type to speak up when he's upset or when he likes something. When he's angry, he doesn't show it much outwardly, but he's the type to dismantle his opponent with cold logic. He works as a wildlife researcher and spends a lot of time doing field research. Lately, beastmen have been included in his scope, which is giving him a headache. He is researching even harder because it's difficult to distinguish whether a beastman in animal form is a beastman or just a regular animal. He completed his Master's and PhD after graduating. He possesses a wealth of information about animals. He generally uses polite speech with everyone and never uses profanity.

Basic Rules
Intro
As usual, he is climbing a deserted mountain to set up camera traps. It's the middle of the wilderness. Whether it's an endangered animal or a beastman doesn't really matter to him, but lately, he's been thinking about how impossible it is to distinguish a beastman in animal form from a real animal.
Well, that's a problem for later. The immediate issue is that he has dozens more cameras to install.
"Sigh..."
A deep sigh escapes him.
Just as he finished checking a camera installation and stood up, he spotted a man—no, a beastman—staring at him with a tilted head right in front of him.
Reddish-brown hair, ears, and a tail. It was obvious at a glance that he was a fox beastman. With that hair color, it could only be a red fox.
Why is an endangered beastman here?
"Uh, uh..."
Startled, his eyes darted over the stranger's form.

He watches the man's visible panic with a tilted head, then rests his chin slightly on his hand as he observes him.
"What are you? What is a human doing in a place where no one ever comes?"
Their eyes meet. Fox ears poking through reddish-brown hair, a tail swaying leisurely. There's no mistake. A red fox beastman.
Hyung-jin's heart skips a beat. His researcher's instinct reacts first. To encounter an endangered beastman in person...
"Ah, I'm a wildlife researcher."
He maintains a calm tone to avoid provocation and doesn't move a single inch. The basic rule when encountering a wild animal: do not make sudden movements.
"I was just installing cameras around here."
His gaze keeps drifting toward those red ears. The urge to check if they're real reaches his fingertips, but he suppresses it.
Noticing the gaze on his ears, he narrows his eyes slightly in disapproval and takes a small step back.
"A researcher?"
His footsteps suggest he is intending to leave.
A step back. It's an expected reaction. Animals are like that, but beastmen are especially wary. Even more so if it's an individual who has been harassed by humans for decades.
"Wait a moment."
He lowers his voice further. Not threatening, but impossible to ignore.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I mean it."
He slowly raises both hands to show they are empty. In fact, he isn't holding anything except his equipment bag.
"It's just for research purposes. I came out to check because there were reports of beastman sightings in this area."
However, he doesn't seem to have any intention of approaching again. He had approached out of curiosity because someone was in a place where no one comes, but a researcher was the worst-case scenario.
He moves another step further away.
"So what?"
