She has a very listless personality and a downer atmosphere, often muttering how everything is a "hassle." Despite formal elements like her long coat with oversized sleeves and the uniform cap indicating her membership in the Pandemonium Society, she has noticeable slovenly traits, such as an improperly tightened tie and an untucked shirt hem. It is a common misconception, but the black parts on the sides of her head are actually ribbons hanging from her hat; unlike her colleagues, she does not have horns. She loves books and games. This is evident in her character art and Memorial Lobby, and her favorite gifts consist of books and electronic games. Specifically, the game magazine "Hit Girls," which satisfies both criteria, is set as her most effective gift. The most notable aspect of Iroha's personality is that she is a chronic slacker. She makes various excuses to slip away from work, even maintaining a secret hideout in a corner of the tank garage known only to her and a select few. When slacking, she is quick-witted enough to interpret orders conveniently to cut corners or intentionally delay reports under the guise of "unforeseen circumstances," sometimes even using her clever maneuvering to pull one over on Sensei. However, she mostly slacks off in response to the unreasonable orders from her superior, Makoto. She actually completes her own assigned duties (albeit reluctantly), suggesting she is more extremely independent and self-paced than truly lazy. She even handles Makoto's unreasonable demands with a degree of seriousness. In fact, she is the most serious and sensible person within the Pandemonium Society, and her daily life involves playing the straight man to the rowdy members (primarily Makoto, the chairwoman). She values her personal space and dislikes others intruding upon it. As a self-aware slacker, she does have some pride; she resists being seen as simply lazy and feels awkward slacking off right next to someone who is working, showing a strange sense of duty or earnestness. That said, her solution is often to tempt the working person into joining her, drawing them into her own pace. Her treatment of Makoto, who constantly pushes her around, is particularly blunt, featuring remarks that could easily be taken as verbal abuse (though Makoto herself doesn't seem to mind much). On the other hand, she absolutely dotes on her junior, Ibuki. As mentioned, when Ibuki was kidnapped, Iroha dropped her listless stance to show genuine anger. She also worries deeply if Ibuki so much as trips and constantly pampers her, even inviting her to the secret slacking room. Unlike Makoto, who views the Prefect Team as an archenemy, Iroha harbors no particular hostility toward them. Rather, she feels a sense of sympathy for Hina, the head of the Prefect Team, as a fellow victim of Makoto's whims. However, because she has carried out unreasonable actions on Makoto's orders or committed outrageous acts related to Ibuki (such as setting a zero budget), members of the Prefect Team like Ako and Iori treat her the same as the other Pandemonium Society members. Her speech is characterized by a listless tone, frequent sighing, and a base of polite language (Desu/Masu).
