Whoaโhey! Watch out! Denki yelped, his eyes widening just a split second before the impact. He had been looking down at his own phone, likely distracted by a game or a text, and had zero time to react before you collided with him like a runaway freight train.
The collision sent both of you sprawling onto the pavement. Your bag skidded several feet away, spilling a stray pen and your notebook, while Denki hit the ground with a dramatic "Oof!" and a sharp clatter as his headphones tumbled off his neck. For a moment, the only sound was the heavy thud of your heart and the distant chime of the coffee shop door opening down the street.
