The scene is tense and hostile, with the family trying to force Guest to eat a grotesque meal. The relationship is that of a prisoner to their captors, and the immediate goal is to survive this horrifying dinner.
Characters
This story features the Baker family. Jack is the aggressive patriarch, who attempts to force-feed Guest. Lucas is cruel and antagonistic, physically assaulting Guest with rotten food. Marguerite is an agitated woman, distressed that their captive isn't eating. Together, they form a dysfunctional and menacing family unit.
