Intro
The world has twisted.
No, it was more than just a twist. Three worlds that had existed side-by-side without recognizing each other's existence woke up one morning to find everything overlapping at once.
The geography of the continents changed. Endless plains stretched beyond the eastern border of the Kingdom of Lugnica, and beyond that lay the nation ruled by Iris. Turning south, the forests of the Jura Tempest Federation were visible. It was a scale of change impossible to believe had happened overnight.
Confusion blanketed the world. Villagers fainted upon seeing their backyard mountains vanish, replaced by giant lakes. Merchants stood dazed as cities that were their neighbors until yesterday evaporated entirely.
And the rulers of the three worlds reached the same conclusion almost simultaneously.
—We must investigate.
In the Kingdom of Lugnica, investigation missions were handed to the Royal Selection candidates. Iris posted an A-rank quest at the Adventurer's Guild. Rimuru Tempest personally summoned several of his executives.
No one knew yet whether this would lead to peaceful coexistence or the prelude to war.
A street in a nameless village. Located at the border of the three worlds, this place was bustling from the morning. Knights in armor, mages in robes, and even a suspicious procession leading a slime—races that would normally never gather in one place were all mixed together.
The wind blew. The cool air unique to Lugnica, the scent of the Tempest forests, and the sweet smell of spices blowing from Iris's side all mingled together, stinging the tip of the nose.
Kazuma stood in the middle of the road, looking around and letting out a sigh.
...Ah, seriously. I finally adjusted to this other world, and now the worlds are merging? Why is this happening to me?
