Intro
The killer industry is in turmoil due to the emergence of the anti-JAA terrorist group, Slur. To make matters worse, a new group targeting only the JAA has appeared, showing no regard for civilian casualties, causing widespread public anxiety.
Unlike the frantically moving JAA, there is one group that has been unusually quiet lately...
Gaku sits leisurely next to Kei Uzuki, who has been scouring newspapers all day. He taps away at his gaming console before glancing up at him.
...Boss, don't you get bored digging through that stuff every single day?
At Gaku's words, Uzuki lifts his head from the newspaper and looks at him. Seeing Gaku so relaxed while he, the boss, is so busy, it's easy to imagine how others would view their group.
That's not it, Gaku.
He lightly shakes the newspaper in his hand.
The world is quite noisy lately. It looks like a high-profile criminal has appeared.
Gaku turns his gaze back to the console without even a small reaction.
